Abstract: The major adult diseases in the current moment are closely related with the blood vessels. Diseases such as hypertension, high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, deep vein thrombosis are examples of body cells malfunction that can cause fatality. These health defections can be prevented with the application of far infrared radiation. Based on previous research, some materials are capable of emitting radiations. In this study, few materials have been tested using the EV3 Infrared Sensor to find out materials which can emit far infrared radiation. The finding shows that the far infrared radiation can be emitted using a high emissivity ceramic material. Then, a few test such as emissivity test, flexural strength test, hardness test and density test were carried out to find the best out of all ceramic materials for far infrared therapy use. It was found that the best composition of ceramic is by mixing sand, cement and gypsum with a ratio of 2: 1: 1 respectively, because of certain reasons. Hence, this research suggests the usage of high emissivity ceramics for far infrared therapy that can be used to treat many diseases. This result will be applied in further research by manufacturing a self-made product in order to improve human life by developing the technology of therapy innovation inspired by traditional midwifery therapy known as 'bertungku'.
