The red fruits (P. conoideus) is one of Pandanaceae family and Pandanales order. It was used by people of Melanesia in Nel1J Guinea. The red fruit has some local name such as Bargum, Hibakaya, Hibmena, and Waransine in Papua language. It was used as food resourses and medicine in Maluku, New Guinea, and Westpart of Pacific. Observation on its diversity was conducted at the Jayapura, Serui, and Wamena district. The red fruits diversity was observed quantitatively and qualitatively by focusing on the shape, weigth, length fruits, length and wide of seeds, wet fresh seeds and the coloring of fruits. The result indicated that the red fruits has ellipse shapes and three of fruits tip types, i.e. acutus (18.25 em in length), acuminatus ranged from 18.53-28.99 em in length and rounded (> 28.10 em in length). It was also founded that there were seven variations of red fruit coloring. This result indicated that the pompei red has the longest fruit with the average of 78.66 em in length; and venetia red has the heaviest fruits (mean 8.08 kg), the heaviest seeds (mean 30.18 mm in heavy), the longest seed with the average of I 6.27 mm in length, but skinniest seeds (mean 2.00 mm). The widest seed of the pale geranium lake fn/it was the average of 4.01 mm long. Therefore, the average shortest of fruits, lightest of fruits, the shortest seeds of the orange yellow were 44.85 em in length, 2.15 kg in weigth, 12.65 mm in length, respectively. The color variation was special characteristic of red fruit pandan in Papua island, Indonesia.-
