Abstract: Photo bacterium damselae subsp. damsefae and Vibrio harveyi have responsible to caus: diseases on Asian sea bass (Lates calcarifer Bloch.). Formalin killed whole cell 0 Photo bacterium damselae subsp. damselae, Vibrio harveyi and mixed of them w prepared to develop mono- and bivalent vaccines. Blood was drawn Jrom the vaccinate and unvaccinated fish every 7 days until 35 days post vaccination Jor determining the tot and differential white blood cell count. At 35 days post vaccination, the head kidney cel were isolated to determine the phagocytosis activity and superoxide anion production head kidney macrophages. Compared with the control, all the vaccinated fish we significantly higher in total white blood cell count (P<0.05). The number of nelltroph' and monocytes were also increased significantly (P<0.05) at 7 days post vaccination a decreased significantly by time until 35 days. Interestingly, all vaccinatedfishes showed higher number of lymphocytes at 14 days until 35 days post vaccination compared to t control group. The monovalent (from Vibrio harveyi) and bivalent vaccines were effect' since phagocytosis activity (percentage phagocytosis and phagocytic index) superoxide anion production were significantly increased (P<0.05) compared to control group. The results suggest that both monovalent and bivalent vaccines effectiv, triggered innate immune system of the Asian seabass, Lates calcarifer Bloch.
