dc.description.abstract | Environmental Change Research Programme at UKM has been undertaken by a group of researchers in various fields of interest. The centre for this environmental change research is at the Earth Observation Centre (EOC) which consists of integrated laboratOIies that are interconnected to the Department of Geography, Geology and Civil Engineering. The main components of the laboratories are Remote Sensing and GIS, GMS/NOAA receiving station, Digital Climate and Air Quality laboratory and Impact Centre for Global Change. Among others, the main theme's of research undertaken include surface erosion and impacts, sediment plumes, ecosystem structure and function, environment and development, environmental impact assessment, water and air pollution, forest, and transboundary haze and its associated impacts. | en_US |
