Barn owl (Tyto alba) is a well known biological control of rats in agriculture. In Malaysia, this species is protected under the Wildlife Conservation Act 716 (2010) and plays a role as biological control agent in paddy fields and oil palm plantations to put rat population in check. An experimental investigation was conducted to explore the possibilities of employing Barn Owl for controlling of commensal Rodents i.e. Rattus Ratuus and Rattus Norvengicus in Subang Jaya City, Selangor. Barn Owls were tagged and released within the city. Their behavior and movements is investigated by a numerical study. Up to this date, they were found to roam within 0.7km area and feed at least a rat daily.en_US
