Research has demonstrated the importance of job resources in explaining work-family enrichment (WFE) and its value, which can affect career and life outcomes. However, only a little research have incorporated both formal and informal supports as well as both domains of satisfaction (work and non-work) in the same study. This study investigated the support-satisfaction relationship by examining the effects of family-friendly policies and family-supportive supervisor behaviours on career and life satisfaction to address this gap in the literature. This study also hypothesised that drawing on the work-family enrichment model, work-family enrichment mediates these relationships and family-supportive supervisor behaviours act as a moderator in the relationship between family-friendly policies and work-family enrichment. Data were collected from 408 government officers serving in 10 ministries in Malaysia. The results of Structural Equation Modelling revealed that family-friendly policies were indirectly related to career and life satisfaction. On the other hand, family-supportive supervisor behaviours had a direct relationship with career and life satisfaction. Concerning the indirect relationship, the results showed that work-family enrichment mediated family-friendly policies and family-supportive supervisor behaviours towards career and life satisfaction. The findings also showed that family-supportive supervisor behaviours significantly moderated the relationship between family-friendly policies and work-family enrichment. Theoretically, the study contributed to the body of knowledge by providing some supports on the positive side of the work-family interface, such as enrichment and the process of work-family enrichment, in explaining the support-satisfaction relationship. From a practical perspective, this study revealed that management should foster family-friendly policies and family-supportive supervisor behaviours since they appeared to play critical roles in predicting career and life satisfaction. Lastly, career and life satisfaction could be enriched at the workplace by giving attention to family-friendly policies and family-supportive supervisor behaviours,Ph.D
