Description: Community of Practice (CoP) merupakan strategi pengetahuan yang penting dalam pengurusan pengetahuan untuk membolehkan proses perkongsian, dan penciptaan pengetahuan berlaku dengan berkesan. Memandangkan CoP mempunyai manfaat yang besar, dan penting untuk memahaminya dengan lebih mendalam, maka kajian ini dianjurkan untuk menentukan hubungan antara CoP dan perkongsian pengetahuan dengan prestasi kerja individu, menentukan hubungan CoP dengan perkongsian pengetahuan, memeriksa faktor jangkaan hasil dan modal sosial sebagai penyederhana antara CoP dan perkongsian pengetahuan, serta memeriksa perkongsian pengetahuan sebagai pengantara antara CoP dan prestasi kerja individu. Bagi mencapai objektif tersebut, kajian ini mencadangkan sebuah kerangka konseptual bersepadu rangkuman Teori Berasaskan Pengetahuan Firma, Teori Kognitif Sosial, dan Teori Modal Sosial berasaskan pendekatan input-proses-output. Kajian kuantitatif ini membuat kutipan data menggunakan teknik soal selidik daripada ahli-ahli Kumpulan Inovatif dan Kreatif di Majlis Perbandaran Kuantan, dan Jabatan Kastam DiRaja Malaysia. Sebanyak 219 sampel dianalisis menggunakan SPSS dan PLS-SEM. Empat hipotesis kajian yang disokong ialah CoP mempunyai hubungan yang positif dengan prestasi kerja individu, CoP mempunyai hubungan yang positif dengan perkongsian pengetahuan, perkongsian pengetahuan mempunyai hubungan yang positif dengan prestasi kerja individu, dan perkongsian pengetahuan berperanan sebagai pengantara antara CoP dan prestasi kerja individu. Manakala, dua hipotesis kajian tidak disokong ialah faktor jangkaan hasil berperanan sebagai penyederhana antara CoP dan perkongsian pengetahuan, dan faktor modal sosial berperanan sebagai penyederhana antara CoP dan perkongsian pengetahuan. Hasil kajian membantu memberi gambaran lebih jelas mengenai hubungan-hubungan yang terdapat antara CoP, perkongsian pengetahuan, faktor jangkaan hasil dan modal sosial, serta prestasi kerja individu. Justeru, pihak kerajaan perlu memantapkan Kumpulan Inovatif dan Kreatif, serta memberi kesedaran dan pemahaman kepada penjawat awam supaya mempertingkatkan aktiviti perkongsian pengetahuan sebagai agenda percambahan pengetahuan untuk mengupayakan mereka memberikan perkhidmatan yang melangkaui ekspektasi rakyat.,Community of Practice (CoP) is said to be an important strategy in knowledge management to effectively enable the sharing and generation of new knowledge. As benefits of CoP is boundless, it is important to understand it deeper, thus this study was conducted in order to determine the interrelationship between CoP and knowledge sharing with individual work performance, and between CoP and knowledge sharing. This study also examines the expected outcomes and social capital factors as moderator between CoP and knowledge sharing, as well as knowledge sharing as mediator between CoP and individual work performance. To achieve these objectives, this study proposes an integrated conceptual framework encompassing Knowledge-Based Theory of the Firm, Social Cognitive Theory, and Social Capital Theory based on an input-process-output approach. This quantitative study uses the questionnaire techniques to collect data from members of the Innovative and Creative Circle of the Kuantan Municipal Council and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department. A total of 219 samples were analysed using SPSS and PLS-SEM. There are four hypotheses supported, namely CoP has a positive relationship with individual work performance, CoP has a positive relationship with knowledge sharing, knowledge sharing has a positive relationship with individual work performance, and the role of knowledge sharing as a mediator between CoP and individual work performance. Subsequently, the other two hypotheses were not supported, namely the role of expected outcomes factors as a moderator between CoP and knowledge sharing, and the role of social capital factors as a moderator between CoP and knowledge sharing. The results of the study helped to give a clearer view regarding existing relationships between the CoP, knowledge sharing, expected outcomes and social capital factors, as well as individual work performance. The Malaysian government would do the nation much good if it strengthen the roles and functions of the Innovative and Creative Circle, and put knowledge sharing as part of the national agenda to create further awareness and deeper understanding among civil servants about knowledge sharing.
