dc.description | The main objective of this thesis is to study some properties for certain subclasses of normalised analytic functions in the unit disc and normalised meromorphic functions in the punctured unit disc. Some basic definitions and initial results of geometric function theory that will be used in this study are discussed. First of all, certain properties involving the generalised Srivastava-Attiya operator are studied. A set of subordination results are obtained. These include the differential subordination and superordination, and the sandwich-type. Furthermore, two classes of analytic functions defined by generalised Srivastava-Attiya operator are introduced. Partial sums of the first class are given and for the second class, coefficient inequalities, distortion theorems, extreme points and convex combinations are obtained. A linear operator associated with the λ-generalised Hurwitz-Lerch zeta function and q-hypergemetric function by using the Hadamard product is defined. Some properties related to a linear operator in the punctured unit disc are introduced. Moreover, a subclass of meromorphic functions defined by a new linear operator is presented. Some properties such as the coefficient estimate, distortion theorem, radii of starlikeness and convexity, and closure theorems are given. A new class of meromorphically analytic functions is derived by means of a Hadamard product involving some suitably normalised meromorphically q-hypergeometric functions. Properties such as the coefficient bounds, distortion and the radii are obtained. Certain sufficient conditions to satisfy a subordination property are also pointed out. Next, a new class of meromorphic parabolic starlike functions with a fixed point in the punctured unit disc involving the q-hypergeometric functions is defined. Some properties such as coefficient equalities, distortion inequalities, and convex linear combinations are studied. In addition, several new classes of meromorphic functions defined by the generalised Cho-Kwon-Srivastava operator are introduced. Various inclusion properties of these classes are investigated. A group of integral operator of normalised meromorphic functions is formed and various new classes of functions are introduced. A majorisation problem involving starlike meromorphic functions of complex order is investigated. Finally, a certain statistical application of the generalised Hurwitz-Lerch zeta function is investigated. Also, the coefficient estimates, the upper bound of third Hankel determinant and the Fekete-Szego inequalities for subclass of analytic functions of reciprocal order defined by Srivastava-Attiya integral operator are calculated.,'Certification of Master's/Doctoral Thesis' is not available,Ph.D. | - |
