dc.description | Kajian ini berkaitan sejarah perkembangan kurikulum agama Sekolah Menengah Agama Kerajaan Negeri Pahang (SMANP) dari tahun 1960 hingga 2005. Penyelidikan ini mempunyai empat objektif utama. Pertama ialah mengkaji sejarah perkembangan sekolah agama di Pahang sebelum dan setelah diambilalih oleh kerajaan negeri Pahang. Kedua, ialah mengkaji faktor perubahan kurikulum di SMANP, ketiga, ialah menganalisis perubahan sukatan mata pelajaran agama dan bahasa Arab SMANP, keempat, ialah menilai kesan perubahan kurikulum dari aspek kurikulum yang digunakan, pengiktirafan, buku teks, dan lantikan guru. Kaedah penyelidikan kualitatif yang digunakan adalah berasaskan sumber primer dan sumber sekunder yang diperolehi daripada Arkib Negara Kuala Lumpur, Arkib Negara Cawangan Pahang, Jabatan Agama Islam Pahang, sekolah-sekolah menengah agama kerajaan negeri Pahang dan Perpustakaan Tun Sri Lanang, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Sumber primer ialah dokumen, fail, minit mesyuarat, laporan dan temu bual. Manakala bagi sumber sekunder ialah buku, majalah, disertasi dan tesis. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa setelah diambilalih, kurikulum yang menjadi matlamat kewujudan sesebuah sekolah tersebut telah berubah beberapa kali kerana keperluan semasa untuk kesesuaian dengan sistem pendidikan kebangsaan dan mendapatkan pengiktirafan dari pihak universiti. Kesan daripada perubahan kurikulum telah mewujudkan guru yang mempunyai kelayakan ikhtisas dan berjawatan tetap yang membawa kepada peningkatan keupayaan guru. Selain itu, kesan perubahan kurikulum menjadikan sukatan pelajaran agama dan bahasa Arab yang digunakan di SMANP lebih relevan dan standard. Perubahan buku teks juga membantu peningkatan ilmu dalam kalangan pelajar. Semua perubahan tersebut menjadikan SMANP sebagai salah satu institusi pendidikan yang mendapat perhatian dan menjadi pilihan utama masyarakat.,This research is a historical account of the development of religious curricular at Pahang religious secondary schools (SMANP) from 1960 to 2005. The research attempts to achieve four main objectives. First, is to examine the development of Pahang religious schools prior to and after their acquisition by the Pahang State government. Secondly, is to investigate the reasons behind the curricular change, thirdly is to analyse the modifications made on the syllabus of religious subjects and Arabic language in these schools, and lastly is to evaluate how these curricular modifications impacts accreditation, textbooks used and appointments of teachers in these schools. This qualitative research utilised primary and secondary sources retrieved from the National Archive of Kuala Lumpur, National Archive Pahang branch, Pahang Religious State Department, the Pahang State Religious schools and Tun Sri Lanang Library at the National University of Malaysia. Primary sources consist of documents, files, and minutes of meetings, reports and interviews while secondary sources consist of books, magazines, academic dissertation and theses related to the subject of research. Findings from the research reveal that as a result of the acquisition, the curricular underwent several modifications in compliance with current requirements such as the National Education system and to gain accreditation from universities. This prompted several development such as qualified teachers were employed on a permanent basis which boosted their performance, the curricular was improved and standardized, and textbooks were replaced which enhanced students performance. These developments have transformed SMANP into exceptional and popular institutions of learning for members of the society.,Ph.D | |
