dc.description | Pengurusan latihan yang bersistematik dan efektif amat penting untuk meningkatkan kecekapan dan prestasi warga kerja dalam semua organisasi. Sehubungan ini, objektif kajian adalah untuk mendapatkan persepsi staf akademik terhadap amalan pengurusan latihan di MARA. Kajian yang dijalankan berbentuk Mixed Method adalah untuk melihat secara spesifik pengurusan dari aspek-aspek merancang, mengelola, memimpin dan mengawal terhadap lima proses latihan yang bermula dengan pertama menentukan keperluan latihan, kedua menetapkan objektif latihan, ketiga memilih penyampaian latihan, keempat melaksanakan latihan dan kelima menilai latihan. Untuk kaedah Kuantitatif, data telah dikumpul melalui pengedaran soal selidik dari seramai 290 responden yang terdiri dalam kalangan staf akademik yang bertugas di Kolej Profesional MARA (KPM). Manakala, untuk kaedah kualitatif seramai 10 orang peserta kajian dari pihak Pengurusan Latihan MARA (PLM) telah ditemu bual. Data soal selidik dianalisis menggunakan Stastistik Deskriptif dan Statistik Inferensi. Data kualitatif pula dianalisis secara manual. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan, staf akademik KPM berpandangan yang amalan pengurusan latihan sedia ada perlu dibuat penambahbaikan terutama pada peringkat perancangan menentukan keperluan latihan, pelaksanaan latihan iaitu faktor masa dan penjadualan latihan serta bentuk atau jenis latihan. Dapatan juga menunjukkan tiada variasi min yang signifikan pengurusan latihan bagi aspek merancang dan mengawal proses latihan, namun begitu terdapat variasi yang signifikan bagi aspek mengelola dan memimpin proses latihan berdasarkan faktor tempoh perkhidmatan. Manakala, untuk faktor pengkhususan pula, tiada variasi min yang signifikan bagi semua aspek pengurusan tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, terdapat beberapa implikasi penting untuk pembangunan latihan dalam perkhidmatan staf akademik di Kolej Profesional MARA. Implikasi utama ialah pada aspek perancangan latihan perlu menjalankan Analisis Keperluan Latihan dan penekanan kepada latihan berbentuk generik yang berunsurkan spiritual dan kepimpinan serta memperbanyakkan lagi latihan yang berprofesional. Secara kesimpulan, perlunya ada kesepadanan antara amalan pengurusan proses latihan dengan keperluan latihan profesional bagi meningkatkan tahap ilmu, kemahiran dan sikap serta memantapkan profesionalisme dalam kalangan staf akademik di Kolej Profesional MARA.,Ph.D,A systematic and effective training management is very important for the improvement of staff performance in all organization. The aims of this study was to identify the level of training management conducted by MARA and to obtain the views of academic staff towards training management practice at MARA. The study was carried out in the form of "mixed method" by observing at specific aspects of management planning, organizing, leading and controlling on five training processes begins by first determining the training needs; outlining training objectives; choosing the method of delivery; training implementation and evaluation. Information were gathered in quantitative method from total of 290 academic staffs who are working at Professional College of MARA (KPM) by using questionnaires. It was further explained in qualitative form by interviews 10 staffs of MARA Training Management. Data were analyzed using descriptive and Inferential Statistics while qualitative data were analyzed manually. Results showed that the existing training management practices need to be improved, especially at the planning stage to determine training needs, the timing and scheduling of training and the type or types of training. There was no significant difference between planning and control of training process to the length of service although it does exist in organizing and leading the training. Specialization has also no significant difference at all for all aspects of management. Based on the results of the study, some important findings for the development of in-service training for the academic staff in Professional College of MARA required urgent attention. The major finding was the need to undertake planning on Training Needs Analysis and an emphasis on training in the form of a generic nature and spiritual leadership as well as more professional training to be conducted to them. As a conclusion, is the need for a management level to vary their patterns of process in management training together with the needs of professional training for academic staff in order to improve their knowledge, skills and attitudes. These are required to strengthen the professionalism of academic staff in Professional College of MARA. | - |
