dc.description | This study highlights the contributions of two Islamic contemporary intellectuals namely, Muhammad al-Bahi and Muhammad Yasin 'Uraybi in refuting the fabrication and accusation of the Western Orientalists on the authenticity of the Islamic thought. Furthermore, this study addresses the most important themes raised by the Orientalists in order to eradicate the Islamic civilization and the Islamic cultural heritage through westernizing the ideas and the theories of the Islamic intellectuals and attributing them to Western intellectuals in the modern era; which made some believe the primacy of Western thought and Western civilization over other civilizations. The importance of this study is that it revives and inspires the Islamic heritage by raising the spirit of Islamic vigilance and respecting its great ancestors through explanation about the precedence of Muslim and Arab Scholars in discovering theories, scientific facts and methods which were claimed by the West as theirs. The objectives of the study were to confirm the authenticity of the Islamic thought and to identify the plots of westernization and its threat to the Islamic historical mind. To reach these goals, the researcher used numbers of approach such as descriptive historical method, analytical method and comparison method. The findings of this study are first; Muhammad al-Bahi and Muhammad Yasin 'Uraybi were indeed of the greatest defenders of Islam and Islamic thought. They contribute in affirming the authenticity of Islamic thought by denying accusations and fabrications done by Orientalists who tried to connect the Islamic thought to the origins of Greek, Persian, Indian or other civilizations. Second; the study found that Muhammad Yasin 'Uraybi was more accurate compared to Muhammad al-Bahi in presenting and explaining the plots of westernization on the Islamic thought in the studies of Orientalists.,This theses does not have Master/ Doctoral certificate.,PhD | - |
