Description: Maani al-Quran wa i rabuh is the most important of al-Zujaj s works concerned with the inflection and is replete with various questions. It is a work strongly related to language, syntax, morphology and exegesis. There are many studies on his methodology and school of thought; his efforts; and his morphology, linguist, syntax, rhetoric and belief tendencies. al-Zujaj has his own views in his work attached to his objections to earlier practisers of the inflection that are not yet covered in recent studies regarding the work which deserves more in-depth analysis. This library study is concerned with the objections of al-Zujaj to earlier practisers of the inflection. It intends to divide the objections into syntax, morphology and language categories; explain how far the objections coincide with the syntactical principles; and review the inflection practisers covered in the objections. Likewise, this study is to analyse al-Zujaj s objections in order to explain his personality, judge his obvious and underlying objections and mention his logics. This study needs a combined methodology the fundamental of which is quantitative and deductive intended to collect all his objections, all references related to his syntax, morphology and language objections. As of qualitative approach, it is related to the explanation of the objections whereas analytical and criticism approach is to analyse and criticize the objections in order to separate the right from the wrong. Lastly, deductive approach is intended to draw the objections hidden but understandable from the work. This study concludes with many findings as al-Zujaj shows many syntax, morphology and language objections that are either obvious or hidden but scattered in his work. Obviously, he is a resilient critic distinguished in the objection ideas far from the sentiments of school of thought and his personal desires. He holds fast to the correct syntactical principles in most of his objections. Thus, his judgments become objective and cover all the inflection practisers either of Basrah or Kufah origins. The judgments are methodologically proven and thus, crystallizing his distinction. The significance of this study is that it educates researchers on the positive way of criticism and objection among one another and on the approach the earlier scholars adopt in compiling their works which both consider and criticize the others opinions.,Ph.D.
