Description: One of world's great challenges is to find processes that could provide cheap potable water, especially for people living in the remote rural areas. Shortages of clean uncontaminated water have caused concern for development of non-conventional options to water supply, including sewage recovery. The objective of this study is to investigate the feasibility study of using a stepped solar still for sewage and industrial wastewater treatment and to develop a productivity model from experimental data. The experiments have been carried out in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor (Latitude 2° 56' 22 and longitude 101° 47' 16") which is about 35 km south of Kuala Lumpur. A stepped solar still with a water surface area of 0.8 m2 consists of a steep sheet with 11 trays is fabricated. The solar still length
