dc.description | The biggest challenge in MANETs is to find the most efficient route for forwarding data. This is due to frequent change in the network topology. The traditional routing mechanisms in MANET depend on minimum hop count. When data is sent from a source to any destination, it takes the path with a minimum number of intermediate nodes. The distance between each node and the transmission power required for transmission is directly proportional to each other i.e. the farther distance between each node the larger transmission power and vice versa. Therefore, more energy is consumed when transmitting than when receiving the data. Thus, the power level of nodes has a great impact on the energy consumption between a pair of nodes. This thesis introduces Lion Optimization algorithm (LOA) on path selection phase for Autonomous Localization based on eligible energetic path and Ant Colony Optimization (ALEEP_ACO) by using a joint evaluation function to select a route with eligible energetic nodes whose battery level is higher than a prescribed threshold Thus, in this study, the new hybrid technique designed based on hybrid ALEEP_ACO with LOA routing algorithm for AODV that improved the energy efficiency and precision from each node. Our results have shown more enhancement than the previous recent research, in terms of metrics and parameters. Furthermore, we have noticed than the packet delivery ratio has achieved 10 percent than previous work, while the packet loss has been decreased up to 15 percent. The throughput has been increased more 19 percent than the previous study. Finally, it is concluded that energy consumption which is the most important metric reduced 11 percent than the previous study.,Certification of Master's/Doctoral Thesis" is not available | |
