dc.description | Gaya pembelajaran pada peringkat tertiari memerlu interaksi, komunikasi dan menyalur idea secara terbuka. Namun, sistem pengurusan pembelajaran (SPP) sedia ada dalam institusi pengajian tertumpu kepada hubungan satu hala yang hanya melibatkan pensyarah mengemaskini nota dan memberi tugasan kepada pelajar. SPP tidak menyedia ruang untuk pelajar berkongsi pengetahuan dan menggunanya dalam jangka panjang. Justeru, pensyarah beralih kepada laman jaringan sosial terutamanya Facebook bagi mendorong perkongsian pengetahuan. Facebook Group (FG) merupakan aplikasi dalam Facebook yang menyedia ruang sosialisasi bagi melakukan perbincangan sama ada secara terbuka mahupun tertutup. Namun, kajian tentang tingkah laku penggunaan FG dalam pembelajaran masih terhad terutama di Malaysia. Kajian lampau hanya memberi penekanan kepada niat untuk mengguna FG dan persepsi pelajar terhadap inisiatif penggunaan FG dalam pembelajaran. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor yang mendorong kepada tingkah laku penggunaan FG bagi perkongsian pengetahuan dalam pembelajaran. Berpandukan Teori Tindakan Beralasan (TRA) dan Model Penerimaan Teknologi 3 (TAM3), sebuah model tingkah laku penggunaan dibangun. Tinjauan ke atas 134 orang pelajar yang terdiri daripada 69 lelaki dan 65 perempuan dari Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik, UiTM Shah Alam dijalankan mengguna instrumen soal selidik bagi pengumpulan data dari 23 September hingga 3 Oktober 2013. Responden dipilih berdasarkan persampelan bertujuan kerana memfokus kepada satu kelompok sahaja. Data dianalisis mengguna perisian SPSS dan SPSS AMOS 20.0. Hipotesis kajian pula diuji mengguna Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Kekuatan kajian terletak pada kesesuaian model yang dibangun dan berdasarkan bukti secara empirikal. Hasil kajian mendapati norma subjektif, mahir komputer, keseronokan terhadap komputer, anggapan mudah diguna, anggapan kebergunaan dan niat tingkah laku memberi kesan signifikan terhadap tingkah laku penggunaan FG bagi perkongsian pengetahuan dalam pembelajaran. Dapatan kajian ini akan menjadi motivasi kepada pensyarah untuk merangsang perkongsian pengetahuan dalam kalangan pelajar dan dapat melestari penggunaan teknologi secara optimum bagi proses pembelajaran di institusi pengajian tinggi (IPT).,Learning styles at the tertiary level requires interaction, communication and channeling of ideas openly. However, the current learning management system (LMS) in learning institutions is focusing on one-way relationship which allows only lecturers to update notes and assignments to the students. LMS does not provide areas for students to share their knowledge and it is unavailable for long term usage. Hence, lecturers have resorted to social networking sites especially Facebook as a platform to encourage knowledge sharing. Facebook Group (FG) is one of Facebook application that provides a social platform for discussion among lecturers and students, both publicly and privately. Nevertheless, the studies of FG usage behavior as a learning platform are still limited, especially in Malaysia. Previous studies only focused on the intention of using FG and student’s perceptions on the initiatives of using FG in learning. This study aims to investigate the underlying factors that led to the FG usage behavior for knowledge sharing in learning. Guided by the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM3), a usage behavior model is developed. A survey of 134 students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam, consisting of 69 males and 65 females, was conducted using questionnaires for data collection from 23rd September until 3rd October 2013. Respondents were selected based on purposive sampling because this study only focused on one specific group of people. Data were analyzed using SPSS and SPSS AMOS 20.0 software and hypotheses are tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The strength of the study lies on the goodness fit of the developed model and empirical evidence. The study found that subjective norms, computer proficient, computer enjoyment, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and behavioral intention significantly affect the usage behavior. The findings of this study will be a motivation for lecturers to promote knowledge sharing and to sustain the optimum usage of technology in higher educational institutions.,Master/Sarjana | |
