dc.description | Kajian ini membincangkan kesan jangkaan perubahan iklim dalam jangka masa panjang di Selangor. Matlamat kajian ini adalah untuk mengenalpasti unjuran perubahan iklim dan kesan jangkaan yang boleh berlaku di kawasan sensitif. Bagi mencapai tujuan ini, dua kawasan kajian yang merupakan kawasan sensitif dikaji iaitu kawasan bukit di Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong dan kawasan pantai di Pelabuhan Klang. Di Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong, kajian melibatkan unjuran perubahan iklim secara statistik, inventori guna tanah dan sejarah lampau kejadian tanah runtuh. Di kawasan pantai pula kajian melibatkan analisis guna tanah dan bentuk muka bumi dengan menggunakan aplikasi Sistem Maklumat Geografi (ArcGis). Kajian lapangan dijalankan untuk mengesahkan maklumat daripada data sekunder dan menilai kawasan yang berpotensi mempunyai kesan jangkaan dengan melihat jenis kategori guna tanah yang terlibat. Hasil kajian di Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong mendapati bahawa kesan jangkaan perubahan iklim terhadap pokok adalah dijangka tidak ketara. Stok karbon di kawasan tersebut dijangka berubah akibat pembalakan dan bukannya disebabkan oleh perubahan iklim. Manakala dari segi tanah runtuh, didapati kebarangkalian berulangnya kejadian tanah runtuh di Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong adalah tinggi. Perubahan dari segi purata hujan dan simpanan air tanah dijangka mengalami peningkatan pada masa hadapan serta keadaan geologinya yang kaya pasir menggalakkan kekerapan kejadian tersebut. Kajian di kawasan pantai di Pelabuhan Klang mendapati kawasan tersebut berpotensi mengalami kemudahterancaman akibat fenomena kenaikan paras air laut. Kajian mendapati bahawa jika paras air laut meningkat sebanyak 0.5 meter, kawasan yang terjejas dianggarkan seluas 112.7 hektar (tepubina) dan 48.3 hektar (kawasan hijau) bagi guna tanah sedia ada; 9.2 hektar (tepubina) dan 13.8 hektar (kawasan hijau) bagi guna tanah komited; serta 271.5 hektar (tepubina) dan 2.3 hektar (kawasan hijau) bagi guna tanah cadangan. Namun sekiranya paras air laut meningkat sehingga 1 meter dianggarkan jumlah guna tanah tersebut akan meningkat kepada 342.7 hektar (tepubina) dan 347.4 hektar (kawasan hijau) bagi guna tanah sedia ada; 41.4 hektar (tepubina) dan 20.7 hektar (kawasan hijau) guna tanah komited; serta 745.5 hektar (tepubina) dan 2.3 hektar (kawasan hijau) bagi guna tanah cadangan. Kemudahterancaman ini juga boleh mengakibatkan kawasan pembuangan sampah di kawasan tersebut turut terjejas. Justeru, perancangan di kawasan Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong perlu mengambil kira perubahan iklim jangka masa panjang walaupun kesan jangka pendek mungkin tidak ketara. Di kawasan pantai Pelabuhan Klang perlu diberi perhatian khusus kerana pembangunan guna tanah di kawasan tersebut giat dijalankan. Oleh itu, mengenalpasti kombinasi antara kawasan sensitif alam sekitar dengan senario iklim masa hadapan adalah merupakan pendekatan yang berguna untuk menangani perubahan iklim melalui perancangan guna tanah.,This research discusses the potential impacts of long-term climate change in Selangor. The goal of the research is to review the projected change in climate and potential impacts in relation to environmentally sensitive areas. Two environmentally sensitive areas were investigated i.e. the highlands of Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong and the coastal area of Port Klang. In Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong, the statistical projections of climate change, inventory of land-use and and history of landslide disasters were collated. In Port Klang, the research involved analysis of land use and terrain using Geographical Information Systems (ArcGis). Field studies were conducted to verify information from secondary sources and evaluate areas that may be impacted based on their land-use categories. Results from Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong indicate that the potential impacts of climate change is not expected to be significant. Carbon stock in the area is expected to change due to logging and not due to climate change. However, in terms of landslides, the probability of recurrence of landslides in Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong is expected to be high. This is due to the anticipated changes in rainfall and soil water storage in the future as well as sand-rich geological conditions that promote the frequency of landslides. Research in Port Klang found that the area has the potential to be threatened by sea-level rise. If the sea level rises by 0.5 metres, the area affected is estimated to be about 112.7 hectares (built-areas) and 48.3 hectares (green-areas) for existing land-use; 9.2 hectares (built-areas) and 13.8 hectares (green areas) for committed land-use; and 271.5 (built-areas) and 2.3 hectares (green-areas) for the proposed land-use. If the sea level rises by 1 metre, the area affected will increase to 342.7 hectares (built-areas) and 347.4 hectares (green areas) for existing land-use, 41.4 hectares (built-areas) and 20.7 hectares (green areas) for committed areas; 745.5 hectares (built-areas) and 2.3 hectares (green-areas) for proposed landuse. Existing dump sites in this area will also be affected. Planning in Hutan Simpan Bukit Lagong should take into account long-term climate change although the shortterm effect maybe subtle. Port Klang should be given special attention because of the development that is underway. The identification of environmentally sensitive areas in combination with future climate scenario is a useful approach to address climate change through land-use planning.,Master | |
