Description: | This work studies the roles of political leadership in resolving ethnic conflict in Guinea Conakry and how the indigenous Malinke leadership establishes their political stability through resolving the ethnic differences and maintenance of absolute monarchy of the communist regime in power by indigenous Malinke Emperors. The objectives of the thesis are (a) To identify the role of political leadership in ethnic conflicts in Guinea Conakry; (b) To examine the ethnic bureaucracy in both politics and political stability in Guinea Conakry; and (c) To examine the effects of political leadership in institutional reforms in Guinea Conakry. The research adopts a qualitative method. The secondary data used includes books, scholarly articles, newspapers and other online sources. Secondary Data analysis was accomplished although there was no universal transcription format for qualitative data collection approaches. Secondary data therefore was the main source of data used to conduct the qualitative research design and data analysis. Case study was used to explore participants' experiences using secondary data by reviewing previous studies on ethnic conflicts and political reforms practiced in Guinea. Findings shows that recent economic development focused on state-building in post-conflict era. They have the potential to implement absolute monarchy as practiced in Guinea states communist regimes. Political and regime change can be achieved by Firstly, Kankan permanent membership Security Council of the United Nation, which have a Veto Power on indigenous Malinke constitution law jurisprudence. Secondly, constitutional politics can be sustained in an absolute monarchy among indigenous societies, Ethnic Malinke Supreme Courtand Emperor councils. Finding obtained from the Guinea Security Council, intelligence of the Supreme Court, and national security council could also be implemented. Thirdly, Communist and One-Party System Communist in Guinea may be used to uphold political leadership by Indigenous Absolute Monarchy in Guinea.,Degree of Master of Philosophy |
