dc.description	Emeritus Professor Zakri Hamid, for kindly giving us the opportunity to host this afternoons seminar on Strengthening Academia Industry Lingkages. Sir Peter William is the Vice-President of the prestigous Royal Society and also Fellow of the the Royal Academy of Engineering, U.K. He has a very distinguished career in academia and industry and has vast experience in the business world. He is surely a thought leader with regards to issues pertaining to academia-industry linkages. Like many other Universities around the world, UKM is also putting greater emphasis on university-industry co-operation. We recognize that this is an important aspect in our quest to promote research and innovations in our university especially in context of the New Economic Model introduced by our Government recently.
