dc.descriptionI am informed that UKM currently offers Thai related courses, namely Thai Language and History in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities; as well as courses that contain components related to the economy in the Faculty of Economics and Business. Currently, there are 34 Thai students in UKM, both at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Student exchange programs also exist in the Faculty of Pharmacy, the AIMS Project and through AUN-ACTS. In 2012, UKM awarded an Honorary Doctorate in International Relations to Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, the former Secretary General of ASEAN (2008-2012) and former Thai Foreign Minister.
