Keputusan telah menunjukkan e-pembelajaran adalah berbaloi diadakan untuk pendidikan casemix dan menjadi berfaedah untuk semua kumpulan, tidak mengira umur, jantina, kemahiran komputer dan internet.,Despite high demand for training and consultancy in case-mix system and clinical coding, there was no e-learning program on casemix education available global. This study aimed to develop an e-learning education program for casemix and clinical coding and evaluate the success of the program. Study methodology comprised of a cross-sectional survey to analyze the demographics of e-learners, and a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test research design was conducted to evaluate the learning effectiveness and users' satisfaction level of the program. End-user surveys were also taken into consideration for evaluating quality of e-learning resources and usability of the program and the effect of the demographic parameters on satisfaction. Results showed in two years 278 learners from 40 different countries with different educational background and different profession attended to the e-learning program. The experiment study examined the result from 123 learners, consisting of 57 e-learners and 66 traditional learners. Both groups were satisfied with the learning program. However, there was no significant different between the two educational methods in term of satisfaction level (p>0.05). On both groups a significant gain in knowledge on casemix system was found (p<0.05). However, the analysis revealed that means gain scores of the e-learners group was significantly higher than traditional group. E-learning was effective in terms of improving the skill of the learning (p<0.05 in post-test vs. pre-test). In term of quality of the material the mean score was 48.4 out of 60 (80.7%) which indicate a good quality level. The mean score for the usability items was 60.61 out of 100 which needs for further improvement. Finally, Chi-Square indicated that except educational level, none of demographic variables had a significant effect on general satisfaction. The experiment has shown similar or better result comparing to traditional face-to-face teaching with regards to learning effectiveness and learners' satisfaction. The result showed e-learning is worth making available for casemix education and can be beneficial for all groups, regardless their age, Gender, computer and internet skill.,PhD | - |
