dc.description | This study focuses on internal alternatives as factors that contribute to voluntary turnover intentions in an organization. The three internal alternative factors include, role clarity, autonomy and work engagement is discussed. The incorporation of personal circumstances as the moderating effect would extend the understanding of the relationship between internal alternatives and voluntary turnover intentions in this study. Three personal circumstances tested are financial security, health, as well as experience levels. There are 322 employees from Information and Communication Technology industries around Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Cyberjaya and Putrajaya responding to the self-administered questionnaire and web surveys. Based on Structural Equation Modeling- Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS), findings from this study indicated that role clarity, autonomy and work engagement negatively affected the voluntary turnover intentions and personal circumstances was found to be significant and important moderator that can be used to increase the relationship between role clarity, autonomy, work engagement and voluntary turnover intentions. The implications of these findings suggest that appropriate managerial interventions can elevate the positive environment in workplace among workers, hence increase the skill and behavior needed to achieve organization’s objectives.,Certification of Master's/Doctoral Thesis" is not available | - |
