dc.descriptionConceptualization and examination of entrepreneurial quality in relation to psychosocial factors and entrepreneurial success has attracted attention due to its association with business survival and succession; yet there are limited empirical and confirmatory researches in this area. Therefore, this study investigates psychosocial factors as antecedents of entrepreneurial quality. Psychosocial factors consist of social support, work experience, university experience and mentoring. This study also examines the role of entrepreneurial quality in mediating the relationships between psychosocial factors and entrepreneurial success in the graduate entrepreneur context.This study consists of two phases. The first phase is a preliminary qualitative study to conceptualize the construct of entrepreneurial quality among graduate entrepreneurs. Seven semi-structure interviews were conducted with graduate entrepreneurs. The second phase is a quantitative survey to examine the hypothesized research model. A random sampling technique was used based on the sampling frame obtained. In total 180 responses were collected using a structured questionnaire. The findings of the study indicated that there are seven dimensions of entrepreneurial quality among graduate entrepreneurs. These are need for achievement, risk taking propensity, creative and innovative, independent, locus of control, perseverance and knowledgeable. The findings also revealed that, psychosocial factors such as social support, work experience and mentoring influence entrepreneurial success among graduate entrepreneurs. In particular social support and mentoring also have an impact on entrepreneurial quality among graduate entrepreneurs. In terms of the mediating effect, entrepreneurial quality mediates the relationship between social support and entrepreneurial success as well as the relationship between mentoring and entrepreneurial success. The implications of this study fold into theoretical and practical. It further explains the construct of entrepreneurial quality and its relationships with psychosocial factors and entrepreneurial success in the context of graduate entrepreneurs. Practically, the findings provide information that benefits the higher education institutions in designing curriculum or training that would potentially enhance graduate’s entrepreneurial quality. Understanding psychosocial factors that contribute towards entrepreneurial success also enrich the entrepreneurship literature.,Ph.D-
