dc.description | This thesis is devoted to introduce a new 3D nonlinear chaotic dynamical system and studying its dynamics using various analysis methods and synchronization techniques. Basic properties of this system are firstly investigated and reveal that this system is dissipative, and its chaotic attractor is topologically different from some other well known systems. We also compute dimension of this attractor using various definitions and show that it has fractal structure. Our analysis is further continued with extensive computational investigations. We use Lyapunov exponents spectrum, bifurcation diagrams as well as ... chaos indicator test on different parameter values and intervals to reveal the dynamics of this system as the parameters change. At the end of our analysis, we employ Shilnikov theorem and prove that this system satisfies the theorem's condition and therefore it has Smale horseshoes and horseshoe type of chaos. We continue our research on the phase synchronization of this system. A problem to tackle in this matter is to come up with a proper definition of phase. Chaotic attractors usually do not exhibit a proper centre of rotation which makes their phase synchronization study difficult. To overcome it, we use empirical mode decomposition and extract intrinsic modes of the chaotic time series and show that corresponding modes of the drive and response systems can be phase synchronized properly together. We then move to complex networks and investigate the cluster synchronization of the community networks. We bring the idea of the modified projective synchronization to the community networks, and introduce cluster modified projective synchronization (CMPS) between community networks. We theoretically prove that this scheme can be successfully applied between networks with identical or non-identical topologies. We also show that this scheme is applicable on directional and weighted networks as well. Various computer simulations confirm our results on sample networks.,Certification of Master's/Doctoral Thesis is not available" | - |
