| Description: | This thesis concerns the spaces of normalised analytic functions and p-valent analytic functions in the unit disc. It also contains results of the p-valent meromorphic functions in the punctured unit disc. On the space of normalised analytic functions, new classes of analytic functions including the properties of normalised hypergeometric, convolution (Hadamard product), complex order and the nonhomogeneous Cauchy-Euler differential equation of order m are defined. These classes generalise certain subclasses that have been studied by various authors. In addition, a new integral operator defined by Wright generalised hypergeometric functions is introduced and sufficient conditions for the univalence of this integral operator are obtained. Furthermore, by utilising new differential operator of normalised functions with fixed point w and certain differential operator of p-valent meromorphic functions, other new classes are also introduced and properties such as coefficient inequalities, distortion theorem, radii of starlikeness and convexity, and closure theorems as well as other properties are obtained. Next, by utilising new differential operator of p-valent analytic functions and certain differential operator of p-valent meromorphic functions, some subordination and superordination results are derived. New subclasses of normalised functions and hypergeometric function of complex order are also defined and the Fekete-Szego problems for these subclasses are also discussed. Finally, the coefficient inequalities associated with Hankel determinant for a new subclass are obtained.,PhD |
