dc.description | Proses pemodenan dan Kristianiti telah memberi pengaruh yang sangat besar kepada kehidupan orang Dayak Benuaq yang tinggal di Kampung Pondok Labu, Desa Loa Ipuh Darat, Daerah Tenggarong, Bandar Kutai Kertanegara, Wilayah Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Walaupun begitu, kedua-dua proses ini tidak mampu mengubah kebergantungan orang Dayak Benuaq terhadap upacara perubatan secara tradisional. Upacara perubatan tradisional melalui upacara Beliantnt Sentiyu masih lagi terus diamalkan, dikekalkan dan diperteguhkan dalam kehidupan mereka. Oleh itu, fokus utama kajian ini ialah untuk meneliti makna upacara Beliatnt Sentiyu menurut pandangan dunia orang Dayak Benuaq. Hal ini kerana pemaknaan terhadap upacara Beliatnt Sentiyu ini telah menyebabkan upacara ini terus kekal menjadi budaya dan identiti orang Dayak Benuaq. Penelitian kajian ini menggunakan paradigma penyelidikan ontologi idealis dan epistemologi interpretasi. Pengungkapan makna upacara Beliatnt Sentiyu dalam kajian ini adalah mengikut konsep tafsir budaya oleh Geertz. Data dalam kajian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan pemerhatian tidak turut serta dan temubual mendalam. Sejumlah 12 informan yang terdiri daripada Kepala Adat, Penyembuh, Penolong Penyembuh dan Pesakit telah dipilih untuk ditemubual secara mendalam dalam kajian ini. Hasil kajian mendapati upacara Beliatnt Sentiyu menurut orang Dayak Benuaq merujuk kepada hubungan seimbang antara manusia, alam dan Tuhan. Kajian juga turut mendapati kewujudan penyakit dalam kalangan manusia disebabkan oleh hubungan yang tidak harmoni antara Tuhan, alam dan juga antara sesama manusia. Oleh itu, orang Dayak Benuaq mencadangkan agar hubungan yang harmoni dan seimbang antara alam dan manusia serta sesama manusia perlu dipertingkatkan secara holistik dan terus dikekalkan. Kesimpulannya, makna upacara Beliatnt Sentiyu boleh dikonseptualisasikan kepada tiga makna iaitu merujuk kepada asal usul dan identiti etnik, kesepaduan dan kebersamaan, serta kelestarian budaya Dayak Benuaq.,The process of modernization and Christianity has influence the way of life of Dayak Benuaq in Kampung Pondok Labu, Loa Ipoh Darat Village, Tenggarong District Tenggarong, Kutai Kertanagara City, and East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. However, these two processes are unable to change the Dayak Benuaq reliance on traditional healing ritual ceremonies. The traditional healing through ritual Beliatnt Sentiyu ceremonies are remaining practiced maintained and reinforced in their lives. Therefore, the main focus of this research is to understand the meaning of Beliatnt Sentiyu ritual from the world-view of Dayak Benuaq itself. This is because the meaning of Beliatnt Sentiyu has led this ritual of ceremony to be embedded in their culture and to be part of the identity of Dayak Benuaq people. Research paradigm of idealist ontology and epistemology of interpretation had been used in this study. The meaning of Beliatnt Sentiyu ritual ceremony in this study is referring to the concept of culture given by Geertz. The data of this study were collected through in-depth interviews and non-participant observation. A total of 12 informants consisting of Head Customs, Healer, Assistant Healer and patients were interviewed thoroughly in this study. The research finding shows that the ritual ceremony of Beliatnt Sentiyu of Dayak Benuaq is referring to a balanced relationship between man, nature and God. The study also found that the existence of the illness among human is caused by the unharmonious relationship between God, the nature and also among the human itself. Therefore, the Dayak Benuaq people suggested that the relationship between nature and human being and among human being itself need to be improved in holistic manner and well maintain. In conclusion, the meaning of the ritual Beliatnt Sentiyu ceremony can be conceptualized into three types of meaning such as refers to the origins and the identity of ethnic, togetherness and solidarity, and the sustainability of culture of Dayak Benuaq.,Ph.D. | |
