Description: | Thesis focuses on the most important tariqat and its influence in performing spiritual education to educate the society and preach them to Allah. It discusses a famous Sufi sheikh and the most popular tariqat in Islamic world, Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani. The problem is what is the method of religiosity in this tariqat from the spiritual and Sufism point of view and its effect on the Muslims. Similarly, to what extent the followers of this method in this recent time hold the principles developed by their sheikhs. Therefore, this study aims at eliminating a doubt and clarify the effect of Sheikh al-Jilani on his followers from the point of faith, worship, behaviour and interaction with others. For that reason, this study uses the induction method by getting information related to the topic from library and the Internet site. This study also uses field research by distribution of a set of questionnaires to Sheikh's followers. The analysis done using SPSS to measure the frequency, percentage, and alpha of Cronbach to determine its reliability. The study found the largest number of the followers which 77-92% keep the way of Sheikh in its method of religiosity based on the Sunnah and true method from the perspective of behaviour, akhlaq and interaction with others. This is in contrast to the often-repeated allegations that many of them have gone astray. About 78% of the followers are committed to Sheikh in the aspect of worship that sanctify their spiritual and soul. This amount is large. This commitment has also been demonstrated in the aspect of faith and belief despite with the number less than 60%, because some of them are extreme and negligent. They can be considered as deviant and far from the method of Sheikh. Hence, there is a need for greater effort in organizing many Islamic teaching sessions to develop the true principle of al-Tariqat al-Qadiriyyah among its followers. It can be the best example that can be followed by public in having a well-being religiosity through the divine method and Sufism. The study found that there is a need for more efforts to study the true method of Sufism that can prevent some people from misleading because of ignorance, follow the desires and exaggeration in religion. The study also found that Baghdad is currently needs for reform in the effort of da'wah through spiritual education.,'Certification of Masters/Doctoral Thesis' is not available,Ph.D. |
