| Description: | This study discusses the hadith taken from the al-Tadhkirah (Reminder) Book written by Imam al-Qurtūbī used as study case and tahqīq (verification) process. This study reveals the al-Tadhkirah (Reminder) book contains hadīth dhaif (not sufficient condition), mawdūc (fake), isrāīlyyāt (stories of Children of Israel) and tales. bHis book been read to find out how is life after death. The objectives of this study are to recognize Imam al-Qurtūbī, his writing style, definition of al-Tadhkirah (Reminder), describe his methodology of writing, focus, point in warning people about death and position of hadith marfūc (hadith attributed to the Prophet Muhammad) been takhrīj (explained) apart of the Kutub al-Sittah (The Sixth Hadīth Books). The weakness in his book many quotes from hadith dhaif (not sufficient condition) as well as isrāīliyyāt (stories of Children of Israel) and dreams. The result from this study find that 8 hadīth sahīh lizātih (authentic), 2 hadīth lighairih authentic, 19 hadīth hasan lizātih (authentic), 19 hadīth hasan lighayrih (authentic), 25 hadīth dhaif (not sufficient condition), 19 hadīth dhaif jiddan (really not sufficient condition), 9 hadīth mawdūc (fake), and 5 hadīth ghair al-Musannadah. Total is 106 Hadīth. However, the author added 6 more hadith as enhancement hadīth. The process of extraction and authentication of prophetic texts helps us to verify the status of these ahadith. The authentic/accepted ahadith will effect the heart of the readers regarding death and life after death in a positive way; whereas weak and fabricated ahadith wouldnt have the same effects on them.,Certification of Master's/Doctoral Thesis is not available,Ph.D. |
