dc.description | A Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is a self-configuring network of mobile nodes that are connected by wireless links to form an arbitrary topology without utilizing any permanent framework. Subsequently, the unrestrained limits of information packets are transferred from the source to the destination to be accepted by routing protocols over a dynamic structure. The breakdown of the connecting links between adjacent nodes will probably lead to the loss of the transferred data packets. This research suggests the exploitation of a Link Prediction (LP) algorithm enhance the prediction of link break in the Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol. A proposed algorithm called the AODV Link Break Prediction (AODVLBP). The aim of the proposed AODVLBP algorithm is to prevent link breaks while the data packets are being transferred from the source to the destination. This is achieved by increasing the level of the signal power via the use of a predictive measure of the changing signal. The suggested algorithm was evaluated using the network simulator version 2.35 (NS2) was compared with the AODV Link prediction (AODVLP) and the AODV standard routing protocols based on the packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delays, packet drop, and control routing overhead. The proposed AODVLBR algorithm achieved a retreat of 85.4% in the packet drop. Also, the achieved results of Packet Delivery ratio around 14%, control packet overhead nearly 19%, and finally average End-to-End Delay roughly 77%.,Master of Computer Science,Certification of Master's / Doctoral Thesis" is not available" | |
