dc.description | In today's competitive environment, organizations find themselves under continued pressure to meet their customers’ expectation and operational excellence. Some organizations confront the issues through optimizing their business processes. For an organization that needs to attain an acceptable level of excellence in both processes and operations, a maturity model is absolutely necessary. Maturity models are one of the perfect tools in the field of improving organizational performance. The objective of this research is to develop a maturity model for operational excellence (OEMM) in organizations that deployed Business Process Management (BPM) within their ICT unit. This study adopts a mixed methods approach which uses both qualitative and quantitative techniques to develop OEMM. An extensive literature review is conducted to identify domains and subfactors of current BPM and how they contribute towards operational excellence in organizations. Delphi technique is used to redefine operational excellence within the context of BPM goals. The respondents for the Delphi are employees and managers of several IT organizations. Standardized Regression Coefficient is used as the main instrument for analyzing respondents’ responses, and identifying weightage for each factor in our OEMM using PLS method. An instrument based on OEMM is developed to help organizations measure their current maturity level. From there, they can ascertain their weak points for further mitigation.,Master of Information Technology | |
