Description: The online quizzes systems have become an important aspect for sustaining e-learning effectivness. Online quizzes are financially more viable, saves time in the processing of data and are more flexible than its traditional counterpart. The quiz is one of the requirements for the Basic Entrepreneurship and Innovation (LMCW 1022) Course, which is compulsory for all first year students at University Kebangsaan Malaysia . The main challenge for utilizing online quizzes was addressed by previous studies as the lack of security and privacy settings. This include the lack of effective procedures to secure students' information. The online quiz employs certain privacy service which allows the students to access their accounts using user names and passwords. With this in mind, this study aimed at designing and developing a security model in order to improve the security and privacy services of online quizzes. To achieve this, two scenarios have been created. The first scenario illustrates the traditional approach. The second scenario illustrates the online quiz with security and privacy. The proposed security model was developed based on two data collection methods; first method was quantitative data using questionnaire administrated to 12 experts to explore the necessary security requirements for online quiz, and reviewing the literature on online quiz security to identify and implement the most suitable methods of data encryption and privacy settings. The result showed that the proposed model is able to encrypt the online quiz data using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. The prototype based on the proposed model was validated by implementing it among university students in order to confirm the prototyping usefulness and ease of use.The questionnaire result showed that the system was usefull but not easy to use.,Master of Computer Science
