Description: This study addresses the question of elision in the part one and two of Kitāb al-Kashshāf by al-Zamakhshari who regards elision part of the most obvious of secrecies of Arabic rhetoric as it has a role in realising the coordination of text, and it also has effect in the mind of the audience in recognising the omitted and filling in the spaces of text. The objective of this study is to illuminate the personality of al-Zamakhshari and his rhetorical interest, the purpose of al-Zamakhshari composing the work, and identify his style of elision of significance and structure. This study relies on deductive approach, by examining the exegetical books and rhetorical books specific in Arabic rhetoric and mentioning the views of their authors; descriptive approach where the signified of the elision is expounded in the context of discussion; and analytical approach adopted in analysing the Qur’anic verses through the extent of meaning, the understanding of the audience, and the significance of the context at the levels of significance and structure. This study comes up with the most important outcome that elision happening in the chapters of Mecca much more than the elision in the chapters of Madina around 91%, that the elision of al-mudāf (genitive) in both parts of the book is more than five hundred times. Besides, the elision in the Qur’anic verses is at the first place in terms of rhetoric. The significance of the study is that it is related to the words of Allah Taala, addressing the issue related to its Inimitability. Likewise, it draws the attention of researchers in Arabic rhetoric to study al-Kashshāf in terms of rhetoric. In addition, the significance lies in the knowledge of rhetorical problems that al-Zamakhshari discusses in his work al-Kashshāf.,“Certification of Master's/Doctoral Thesis” is not available,Master of Islamic Studies
