Information has become one of the most important assets of an organization. The success or failure of a business depends on how information is managed and secured. This operation may appear complex and requires high costs and need experts that an organization may not have. All organizations used many security solutions to secure their businesses to determine weaknesses, existence of vulnerabilities and potential losses by expected threats, which may affect the organization’s business. In spite of using multi security measures, many failures still occur in the security field for many organizations, both, in the form of external breaches that targeted sensitive information (personal, health) and financial information (credit card, debit card, account number) , or in the form of spontaneous or intentional mistakes from within the organization by employees. These failures occur because of many reasons such as inefficient security systems, improper use of security solutions or use of improper security solutions, and bad policy or bad policy implementation. This research aims to develop an information security requirements framework that will help to achieve the information security goals of organizations through effective security policy to enhance their e-business. The research methodology comprised of literature review, questionnaire and interviews with security staff in three targeted organizations that used e-business in Malaysia. The framework is then applied and evaluated in one Malaysian organization that conducts e-business. Thefindings of this research show that the framework is holistic and effective, and will help organizations to protect their information through effective security policies that will enhance theire-business.,Master-
