Description: A taxonomic study of the genus Stantonia Ashmead (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Orgilinae) from Peninsular Malaysia was carried out. A total of 213 specimens were examined from repository of Centre for Insects Systematic (CIS), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The specimens were collected from several localities throughout Peninsular Malaysia namely from Selai Forest Reserve, Johor; Endau Rompin National Park, Johor; Pasoh Forest Reserve, Negeri Sembilan; Bangi Forest Reserve, Selangor; Cameron Highland, Pahang; Kuala Lompat Forest Reserve, Pahang; Lake Kenyir, Terengganu and Wang Kelian State Park, Perlis. The objectives of this study are to identify the genus Stantonia to the species level, to make description for species and to update the distribution of this genus in Peninsular Malaysia. Identification to the species was based on the morphological characters such as structure of face, wing venation, structure of propodeum and metasomal tergite. Key to the species of Stantonia from Peninsular Malaysia was constructed and description for each species was provided in this study. A total of 13 species have been determined in this study from Peninsular Malaysia namely Stantonia angustata van Achterberg, S. jacobsoni van Achterberg, S lutea Szepligeti, S magnifica van Achterberg, S pellicae van Achterberg, S procera Enderlain, S scutellaris van Achterberg, S sumatrana Enderlain, S vittata van Achterberg, S gracilis van Achterberg and three Stantonia sp. nov. Three out of 13 species (23%) were found new to science and a species Stantonia gracilis van Achterberg was found to be as a record from Peninsular Malaysia, which is recorded and distributed from Indonesia.,This theses does not have Master/ Doctorate certification.,Sarjana
