Individuals diagnosed with autism have difficulties with their communication, social skills and behavior management, which can be barriers to living a typical life. Research has shown that Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a proven strategy that teaches individuals with autism to cope with daily living skills. Successful implementation of ABA Therapy is dependent on parents’ involvement, especially, in the home setting. The objectives of this study are to describe stressors faced by parents before ABA therapy, examine the parents’ positive experiences due to the implementation of ABA therapy and examine the challenges faced by parents during implementation ABA therapy. The participants are nine parents of children with autism enrolled in a private centre and who have agreed to be interviewed. Findings of the research show that parents faced challenges before and during implementation of ABA therapy but they also faced many positive experiences during implementation of ABA. In general, despite the challenges, parents are positive with ABA implementation as they believed it to be effective. The implication of the research is that more parents of children with autism should apply ABA as it is an effective therapy for children with autism.,Certification of Master's/Doctoral Thesis" is not available
