Description: Mengikut perspektif Islam, budaya terdiri dari tiga unsur aqidah, ibadah dan akhlak. Oleh itu, semestinya ketiga-tiga perkara ini diberikan penekanan dalam pembentukan personaliti anak-anak. Justeru, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang pengaruh didikan ibu bapa dengan amalan agama murid Tingkatan 4 di Pantai Timur Sabah. Kajian dijalankan ke atas 300 orang murid tingkatan 4. Kajian ini berbentuk tinjauan dengan menggunakan instrumen soal selidik. Dapatan kajian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensi. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan amalan agama ibu bapa (min = 3.69 dan SP = 0.639) dan amalan agama murid (min = 3.69 dan SP = 0.537) berada pada tahap tinggi. Gaya didikan yang paling popular dalam kalangan murid tingkatan 4 Pantai Timur Sabah iaitu autoritatif. Kemudian diikuti oleh gaya didikan autoritarian, permisif indulgen, dan permisif negligen selain itu analisis deskriptif menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan amalan agama ibu bapa dan amalan agama murid berdasarkan taraf pendidikan ibu bapa. Ujian t bebas menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan persepsi murid terhadap didikan agama ibu bapa dan amalan agama murid berdasarkan jantina (p = 0.947, p>0.05). Manakala ujian Kruskal Wallis menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan persepsi murid terhadap didikan agama ibu bapa (p = 0.139, p>0.05) dan amalan agama murid berdasarkan pendapatan ibu (p = 0.202, p>0.05). Ujian Kruskal Wallis juga menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan persepsi murid terhadap didikan agama ibu bapa (p = 0.007, p <0.05) dan amalan agama murid berdasarkan pendapatan bapa (p = 0.020, p<0.05). Ujian Kruskal Wallis juga menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan persepsi murid terhadap didikan agama ibu bapa (p = 0.000, p <0.05) dan amalan agama murid (p = 0.042, p<0.05) berdasarkan gaya didikan ibu bapa. Perbezaan yang signifikan iaitu terjadi antara pendapatan bapa kurang dari RM 500 dengan pendapatan bapa lainnya. Kajian ini juga mendapati terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara didikan agama ibu bapa dengan amalan agama murid (r = 0.7, p = 0.000). Dapatan kajian diharapkan akan dapat membantu pihak-pihak yang berkaitan dalam usaha mencipta generasi remaja yang berakhlak baik. Ini dilakukan supaya generasi masa hadapan bebas dari masalah keruntuhan akhlak.,Master/Sarjana,Based on the Islam perspective, culture consist three elements and they are faith, worship and morality. Therefore, these three elements should be emphasis in the formation of children’s personality. Thus, this study aim is to gain knowledge on the influence of parental education with religious practices of Form 4 students in the East Coast of Sabah. This study was conducted on 300 of Form 4 students. This study is in a form of a survey by using a questionnaire. The results were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis showed that the parents’ religious practices (min = 3.69 and SP = 0.639) and the students’ religious practices (min = 3.69 and SP = 0.537) is at a high level. The most popular parenting styles among the Form 4 students in the East Coast of Sabah is authoritative style. This was followed by the authoritarian parenting styles, permissive indulgent and permissive negligent. Besides, the descriptive analysis showed significant differences between parents’ religious practices and the students’ religious practices by the parents’ education level. Independent t test showed that there is no significant difference in students’ perception about the parents’ religious upbringing and the students’ religious practices by the gender (p = 0.947, p>0.05). While the Kruskal Wallis test showed that there is no significant difference in the students’ perception about the parents’ religious upbringing (p = 0.139, p>0.05) and the students’ religious practices by the mothers’ income (p = 0.202, p>0.05). Kruskal Wallis test also showed that there were significant difference in the students’ perception about the parents’ religious upbringing (p = 0.007, p <0.05) and the students religious practices by the fathers’ income (p = 0.020, p<0.05). Kruskal Wallis test also showed that there were significant difference in the students’ perception about the parents’ religious upbringing (p = 0.000, p <0.05) and the students religious practices (p = 0.042, p<0.05) based on the parental upbringing style. The significant differences happen between the fathers’ income less than RM500 with the other fathers’ income. The study also found there is a significant relationship between parents’ religious upbringing and the students’ religious practices (r = 0.7, p = 0.000). The findings are expected to help the relevant people in an effort to create the young people generation with the good character. This is done so that the future generations are free from the moral decadence problems.
