Description: | Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti dua perkara utama iaitu nilai patriotisme dalam pendidikan sejarah dan minat terhadap pendidikan Sejarah dalam kalangan banduan muda di Sekolah Integriti Kajang. Kajian ini juga bertujuan mengenal pasti perbezaan nilai patriotisme dan minat terhadap mata pelajaran sejarah dalam kalangan banduan muda berdasarkan bangsa, taraf pendidikan, pencapaian dalam mata pelajaran sejarah dan jenis kesalahan. Selain daripada itu kajian ini mengkaji hubungan tahap patriotisme banduan muda dengan minat mereka terhadap pendidikan Sejarah. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kajian tinjauan deskriptif. Data dikutip melalui soal selidik yang melibatkan sampel kajian terdiri daripada 110 orang banduan muda yang ditempatkan di Sekolah Integriti Penjara Kajang.. Analisis deskriptif yang melibatkan kekerapan, peratusan, min dan sisihan piawai digunakan untuk menganalisis pemboleh ubah-pemboleh ubah dalam kajian ini seperti profil responden, nilai patriotisme dan minat terhadap pendidikan Sejarah. Analisis inferensi iaitu ujian t, Kruskal Wallis dan Mann Whitney U digunakan untuk menganalisis perbezaan nilai patriotisme dan minat terhadap pendidikan Sejarah. Dapatan kajian secara keseluruhannya menunjukkan bahawa nilai patriotisme dalam pendidikan sejarah di kalangan banduan muda berada pada tahap tinggi (min = 4.40 dan sp = 0.297). Banduan muda berbangsa India mempunyai nilai patriotisme yang paling tinggi. Terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan persepsi nilai patriotisme berdasarkan taraf pendidikan. Tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan persepsi nilai patriotisme berdasarkan pencapaian mata pelajaran sejarah dan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan nilai patriotisme dengan jenis kesalahan. Dapatan kajian bagi minat terhadap mata pelajaran Sejarah pula mendapati banduan muda berbangsa Melayu dan lain-lain bangsa merupakan yang paling tinggi. Manakala minat bagi banduan Cina ialah yang paling rendah. Manakala tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan nilai patriotisme dan minat terhadap mata pelajaran sejarah berdasarkan taraf pendidikan, tahap kelulusan mata pelajaran sejarah semasa peperiksaan Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) dan jenis kesalahan. Analisis inferensi juga menunjukkan bahawa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara nilai patriotisme dengan minat terhadap mata pelajaran sejarah. Akhir sekali, beberapa implikasi kajian terhadap nilai patriotisme dicadangkan dan beberapa cadangan untuk kajian lanjutan juga dikemukakan.,Master/Sarjana,This study aimed to identify two main areas: the patriotism in education history and passion for history education among young prisoners in Kajang Integrity School . This study also aims to identify the difference between the patriotism and enthusiasm for the subject among young prisoners based on race , educational attainment, achievement in the history and nature of the offense . In addition , the study examined the relationship level of patriotism of young prisoners by their passion for history education . This study used a descriptive research design . Data collected through a survey involving a sample of the study consisted of 110 young inmates housed in the School of Kajang Prison Integrity .Descriptive analyzes such as frequencies , percentages, means and standard deviation were used to analyze the variable -variable in this study profile of the respondents , the patriotism and passion for history education . Inferential analysis of the t test , Kruskal -Wallis and Mann Whitney U was used to analyze the difference between the patriotism and passion for history education . Overall findings indicate that the patriotism in the history of education among young prisoners was high ( mean = 4:40 and sd = 0297 ) . Young Indian prisoners have the highest patriotism . There are significant differences of perception of patriotism based on the standard of education . No significant differences in the perception of patriotism based on achievement in history and there is no significant difference in the value of patriotism with the kind of offense . The results of interest for the subject History found that young prisoners are ethnic Malays and other races are the highest . The interest of Chinese prisoners are the lowest . There were no significant differences of patriotism and interest in the subject of history, based on the level of education, level of approval for the subject exams Lower Secondary Assessment ( PMR ) and the nature of the offense . Inferential analysis also shows that there is a significant relationship between the patriotism with an interest in the subject of history . Finally, some implications for the value of patriotism and some recommendations for further research are also presented. |
