The aim of this study is to determine the influence of school organizational change from the perspectives of restructuring, reengineering and job designing; as well as teachers’ commitment to change in terms of job satisfactions and work pressure. A sample of 358 teachers stratifically chosen at random from 86 secondary schools in Negeri Sembilan, took part in this research survey. The data collected were adapted from questionnaires of previous researchers. The questionnaires were tested and had high reliability index for all variables (0.741-0.958). The data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics (percentages, means and standard deviations) and inferential statistics (t-test, one way Anova, Pearson correlation and multiple stepwise regression) to test the research hypothesis. The findings of the research indicate that the levels of school organizational change and job design are higher but average for restructuring, reengineering, commitment to change, job satisfactions and work pressure. T-test and Anova indicate that there is no significant relationship between teachers’ demography (gender, age school location, qualification) and the job satisfaction and work pressure. Correlation test indicates that there is low positive significant relationship between restructuring and job saticfaction and there is no significant relationship between with work pressure. Average positive significant relationship can be seen between commitment to change and job satisfactions, where as low negative with work pressure indicated. Multiple stepwise regression analyses indicate that 16.9 percent of reengineering, 3.5 percent of commitment to change and 1.5 percent of job design contribute towards job satisfaction, which contribute a total of 21.9 percent. Meanwhile 6.0 percent of reengineering, 3.7 percent of job design and 1.0 percent of commitment to change contribute towards work pressure, which contribute a total of 10.7 percent. Generally, influence of school organizational change and teachers’ commitment to change do not give strong impact towards dynamic of job satisfactions and work pressure in accordance with aspiration to generate effective schools and teachers.,Ph.D.
