Description: In accelerating the realization of developing the human capital through Science Education, educational software is one of the most crucial materials that would help to navigate the outcome of teaching and learning technologically. With this awareness, the Ministry of Education took these needs by providing educational courseware in ensuring that lessons are delivered smoothly in Science classes. The courseware is now being increasingly utilized in the teaching and learning of Science subjects. The purpose of this study is to examine the Lower Six students’ perception towards the courseware used in learning Chemistry. This study employed a mix-method design which used questionnaires and semi-structured interview in collecting the data. Five research questions and six hypotheses were constructed for this study. The study covered a total of 120 Lower Six students in SMK Sultan Abu Bakar and SMK Abdul Rahman Talib in Kuantan, Pahang. The interviews were done with ten students from both schools. Quantitative data were analyzed using inferential and descriptive statistics while the interview data were transcribed under different themes. The descriptive statistical analysis indicated that overall, students had positive perception towards the usability of the courseware and its language use in learning Chemistry. On the contrary, they revealed a negative perception towards the courseware with regard to its suitability. In relation to inferential statistical analysis, the t-test results showed that there was no significant mean difference in all of the students’ perception on the suitability, ease of use and ease of language use of the courseware with respect to gender and schools. The interviews revealed that they had mixed perception towards the courseware used in their chemistry lessons. Although lessons became more interesting and their language skills improved, they also claimed that they still needed the teacher to make the lessons more effective.,Master/Sarjana
