Description: Rules of stress in Arabic language need further exploration and research despite much effort being taken due to their complexity, thus the opportunity of study is still open in that regard. herefore, the objective of this study is to fulfil the need as it seeks to examine the theory of stress of written al-maq??c, which is prevalent among the guardians of the Noble Qur'an, through modern acoustic laboratory. This study addresses the question of differentiation between al-maq??c and al-maw??l through the stress of al-maq??c only. How far the performance in the recitation is capable of differentiating between the two is decided through acoustic group sampling intended for the recitals of three well-known reciters namely Ma??d Khal?l al-Husary, Mu?ammad ?idd?q al-Minsh?w? and cAbd al-B??i? cAbd al-?amad regarding forty-four Qur'?nic verses distributed among eight groups that all ma???if (codices) cUthmaniyyah is consistent on their qa?c in writing in some places and their wa?l in other places, of which are eighteen places for qa?c and twenty-six places for wa?l according to certain standards in determining the sampling, of which are random choice and sonic proximity. This study relies on experimental approach by using Praat program in collecting and analyzing digital data, and in acquiring graphs by using charts. Four acoustic factors are tested, they are rhythm of intonation, basic repetition, intensity and duration. To sum up, this study finds that the theory of stress of al-maq??c is applicable in places of alqa?c and places of al-wa?l as regards intensity al-?u?ary, as much as based on duration standard, in addition to rhythm and intensity standards. Likewise, the theory is applicable as regards al-Shaykh cAbd al-?amad, as much as based on intensity standard, apart from duration, rhythm and basic repetition standards. It is also applicable as regards al-Shaykh al-Minsh?w?, based on rhythm standard only, as much as. This study also proves that the reciters rely on acoustic changes to realise the stress, as can be related to Shaykh cAbd al-?amad and Shaykh al- Husary. This study adds a novel phonetic rule to Arabic grammar, and it opens the door to construe more rules based on the mujawwad recitation of the Quran.,Certification of Master's/Doctoral Thesis" is not available
