Description:	Kajian ini membincangkan mengenai pemikiran al-Tūsī (m. 1274) berkaitan politik dan ekonomi. Metodologi kajian mengambil pendekatan berdasarkan kaedah kepustakaan iaitu menerusi pembacaan beberapa bab di dalam kitab Akhlāq Nāsīri yang diterjemah oleh G.M. Wickens iaitu The Nasirean Ethics. Kajian ini bertujuan menganalisis pemikiran beliau dan meneliti secara terperinci. Hasil daripada kajian ini mendapati dari sudut politik, al-Tūsī telah menyenaraikan lapan isu yang berkait dengannya. Isu pertama ialah keperluan kepada ketamadunan. Isu kedua, keperluan kepada kasih sayang dan ukhwah sesama masyarakat. Isu ketiga, pengelasan bagi masyarakat dan jenis-jenis bandar. Isu keempat, kerajaan beraja dan peradaban raja. Isu kelima, kerajaan yang kekal dan keperibadian pengikut raja. Isu keenam, persahabatan dan sahabat. Isu ketujuh, cara berurusan dengan kelas masyarakat yang berbeza dan isu terakhir al-Tūsī telah melahirkan penghargaan kepada Plato atas sumbangan yang diberikan oleh Plato dalam ilmu falsafah politik ini. Manakala dari sudut pemikiran ekonomi, al-Tūsī telah menyenaraikan beberapa isu. Isu-isu tersebut ialah isu berkaitan rumah tangga, harta dan peruntukan, peraturan-peraturan untuk para isteri serta isu anak-anak. Dua isu terakhir ialah tanggungjawab terhadap ibu bapa dan keperluan kepada kerajaan bagi orang gaji dan hamba. Kebanyakan idea-idea ini boleh diaplikasi pada masa sekarang.,This study discusses political and economic thought of al-Tūsī (d. 1274). The method of this study is library research whereby chapters from al-Tūsī's book, Akhlāq Nāsīri which is translated by G.M Wickens entitled The Nasirean Ethics. The purpose of this study is to analyze and to scrutinize about his thinking in details. The result of this investigation shows that in his political thinking, al-Tūsī concluded it into eight issues. The first issue is the need for a civilization and politics. The second issue is on love, connecter of societies. The third issue is the divisions of societies and conditions of cities. The fourth issue is the government of realm and manners of king. The fifth issue is the government of retainers and manners of kings's followers. The sixth issue is on friendship and friends. The seventh issue is how to deal with the different classes of mankind. The last issue on this topics, al-Tūsī was showing the appreciation to Plato for his contribution on political philosophy. Meanwhile, on the economic point of view, al-Tūsī expressed several issues. They are household in general, the regulation of property and provisions, the regulation of wives, the regulation of children. The final issues are the rights of parents and the government of servants and slaves. All the elements discussed in this political and economic thought of al-Tūsī are still relevant and applicable to our contemporary time.,Master/Sarjana
