This study addresses Arab trade with South East Asia which afterwards becomes an important centre of trade with some of Arab region overlooking Arab Gulf beach. The question of this study is that there are scarcely Arabic sources written on this topic in general, especially with regard to the trade around the Indian Ocean. Of the objectives of this study are to explain how Islam enters South East Asia through references Arabs, to elucidate the variety of merchandise through the sea, and to analyse the ports of trade. Thus, this study relies on economic interpretation methodology concerning related historical events and incidents, and on the collection of related sources and data from important books. This study arrives at following conclusions, i.e. the big volume of trade transactions around the whole of the ocean, and the vitality of trade activity in the region. Likewise, this study ascertains that the Arabs have the advantage in trade matters because they personally deal with trade activities in most of the ports of the ocean. This is supported with the existence of Arab expatriates settling around the ports. Also, they set a historical precedent for all sailors when they leave behind legacies showing their superiority.,Master / Sarjana |
