dc.descriptionKemahiran bertutur bahasa asing sering dikaitkan dengan penggunaan strategi pembelajaran. Kajian lepas mendapati penggunaan strategi yang sesuai dan berkesan mampu meningkatkan kemahiran bertutur bahasa Arab pelajar. Justeru, kajian ini meninjau penggunaan dan pengetahuan tentang strategi pembelajaran kemahiran bertutur bahasa Arab dalam kalangan pelajar Melayu di Pusat Asasi UIAM, mengenalpasti hubungan antara pencapaian Ujian Kemahiran Bahasa Arab (APT Skills Test) dengan penggunaan strategi dan mengenalpasti faktor-faktor yang menyumbang kepada penggunaan strategi. Kajian ini mengkategorikan strategi pembelajaran kemahiran bertutur bahasa Arab kepada strategi di dalam kelas, strategi penggunaan media, strategi penyertaan aktiviti ko-kurikulum, strategi bertutur bersama rakan dan strategi pembelajaran aturan kendiri. Sampel kajian ini merupakan 163 orang pelajar jurusan Bahasa Arab dan Ilmu Wahyu yang dipilih melalui kaedah persampelan rawak berkelompok. Data kajian telah dikutip menggunakan soal selidik yang mengandungi 75 item. Tahap nilai kebolehpercayaan alpha cronbach yang diperoleh daripada soal-selidik ialah >0.7. Data kajian telah dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi menggunakan Ujian Khi Kuasa Dua dan Analisa Regresi Berganda. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap penggunaan strategi dalam kalangan pelajar adalah sederhana manakala strategi yang paling kurang dikenali pelajar ialah kumpulan strategi pembelajaran aturan kendiri. Analisis data inferensi pula mendapati terdapat hubungan yang positif antara pencapaian Ujian Kemahiran Bahasa Arab (APT Skills Test) dengan strategi penggunaan media dan strategi pembelajaran aturan kendiri. Selain itu, kesemua faktor demografi yang dikaji iaitu jantina, pencapaian Ujian Kemahiran Bahasa Arab (APT Skills Test), latar belakang pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan tempoh pembelajaran bahasa Arab bukanlah faktor yang menyumbang terhadap penggunaan strategi pembelajaran kemahiran bertutur bahasa Arab di Pusat Asasi UIAM.,Foreign language speaking skill is often associated with the use of learning strategies. Previous studies found that the use of appropriate and effective strategies can enhance students' Arabic speaking skill. Thus, this research surveyed the practice and knowledge of Arabic Speaking Skill Learning Strategies among Malay students at the Centre for Foundation Studies IIUM, identified the relation between achievement in Arabic Language Skills Test (APT Skills Test) and the strategies being practiced, and identified the factors contributing to the practice of strategies. This study categorized speaking skill learning strategies into in-classroom strategies, use of media, participation in co-curricular activities, speaking with partners and self-regulated learning strategies. Sample for this study was 163 students taking Arabic Language and Islamic Revealed Knowledge courses, selected using the Cluster Sampling Method. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 75 items. Cronbach Alpha reliability level of the questionnaire was >0.7. The data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics, using Chi-Square Test and Multiple Regression Analysis. Findings showed moderate level of strategy use while the most unknown strategy category to the students was the Self -Regulated Learning Strategy. Inferential data analysis showed that there was a positive relationship between the achievement of Arabic Language Skills Test (APT Skills Test) and the use of media strategy and the use of self- regulated learning strategy. In addition, the demographic factors such as gender, achievement in Arabic Language Skills Test (APT Skills Test), Arabic language learning background and duration of Arabic learning were not the contributing factors to the practice of Arabic Speaking Skill Learning Strategies at Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM.,Master-
