Description: Kajian ini membincangkan mengenai amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran tarannum di Darul Quran JAKIM. Ilmu tarannum adalah satu cabang ilmu al-Quran yang bertindak sebagai seni untuk menarik minat dan penghayatan para pendengar. Setiap tahun, institusi-institusi pengajian tinggi Islam di Malaysia melaksanakan program tilawah al-Quran. Darul Quran JAKIM juga tidak terkecuali daripada menyertai acara ini. Namun sekitar enam tahun kebelakangan ini tiada pelajar Darul Quran yang menjuarai acara ini malahan memperlihatkan beberapa kelemahan dan kepincangan khususnya dari sudut kesesuaian bentuk lagu dan kelembutan alunan tarannum. Oleh itu, banyak persoalan mengenai amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran tarannum perlu dikaji. Objektif kajian ini ialah untuk mengenal pasti konsep pengajaran dan pembelajaran tarannum yang berfokus kepada tahap amalan pengajaran tarannum dalam kalangan pensyarah dan tahap pembelajaran tarannum di dalam kelas serta mengkaji latarbelakang masalah yang timbul. Aspek yang dikaji adalah berkaitan amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran merangkumi sikap pelajar, kaedah pembelajaran, teknik pengajaran dan pengurusan kelas. Kajian ini mengaplikasikan dua intsrumen iaitu soal selidik dan pemerhatian. Jumlah sampel kajian adalah seramai 108 responden daripada enam kelas kursus tarannum semester tiga Darul Quran JAKIM dan juga melibatkan beberapa orang pensyarah tarannum. Maklumat yang diperoleh daripada responden dianalisis dalam bentuk min, peratus dan kekerapan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran mempengaruhi keberkesanan pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Aspek prinsip pengajaran dan pembelajaran, kaedah dan sahsiah pensyarah didapati berada pada tahap tinggi. Manakala aspek pengurusan kelas, teknik dan sikap pelajar berada pada skor min tahap sederhana. Kajian ini memberi implikasi khususnya untuk mencorakkan pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang menyeronokkan dan mampu mewujudkan komunikasi dua hala serta mencapai objektif. Ini tambah mewajarkan lagi amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran tarannum di institusi-institusi pengajian tinggi Islam seluruh Malaysia.,This study addresses tarannum teaching and learning practice at Darul Quran JAKIM. Tarannum knowledge is one of Quranic studies branches that serve an art to seek the interest and internalization of listeners. For every year, Islamic higher learning institutions in Malaysia hold Quranic recitation program. Darul Quran JAKIM is also not excluded from participating in the program. However, about six years lately, there is no more Darul Quran student triumphant in the program. Moreover, it witnesses some weaknesses and defects mainly from the aspects of suitable intonation form and soft tarannum vibrancy. Therefore, many questions concerning tarannum teaching and learning practice need to be investigated. The objective of this study is to identify the concept of tarannum teaching and learning being concentrated on the level of tarannum teaching practice among lecturers and the level of tarannum learning in lecture room, apart from examining the background of the arising problem. The aspect examined is of teaching and learning practice encompassing students' attitude, learning approach, teaching technique and classroom management. This study relies on two instruments, namely questionnaire and observation. The total of research samples are 108 respondents from six tarannum course classes of semester three at Darul Quran JAKIM and it involves several tarannum lecturers. The information gathered from the respondents is analysed in the form of mean, percentage and frequency. The outcome of this study is that the teaching and learning practice sways the effectiveness of the teaching and learning. The aspects of teaching and learning principle, technique and personality of the lecturers are found to be at high level whereas the aspects of classroom management, and the students' technique and attitude are at moderate mean score. This study gives an implication mainly of the need to design an interesting teaching and learning that is able to create mutual communication besides realizing the objective. This further justifies tarannum teaching and learning practice at Islamic higher learning institutions throughout Malaysia.,Sarjana Pengajian Islam
