Description: | Arabic feminist literature has its own interpretation of literary creativity igniting the interest of contemporary Arabic literary critics to delve into the meaning of the feminist literary creativity and find the right approach to analyze the feminist works. Admittedly, physiological difference in women vis-a-vis men give rise to their distinguished way of thinking associated with emotion and obsession. Being pushed by inciting circumstances, the distinguished way of thinking would become more crystallized, and it would forcefully characterize how the poetic text and style are being presented. The distinguished way of thinking and its forceful characterization trigger this study to explore the poetry of Ahlam Mustaghanimi viewed by the Arabic literary critics as a notable figure in contemporary feminist Arabic literary. In so doing, this study intends to examine the themes, styles and features of the poetry through its compositions and pictures that illustrate the style the poet uses in constructing her poetic expressions. Relying on the approach of textual analysis based on Reading and Reception Theory introduced by Yoes and Izer, this study explores the anthology of cAlayka al-lahfah. To conclude, it is found in this study that the way the anthology written by Ahlam Mustaghanimi represents the perspective of contemporary Arabic feminist literature and this can be seen in the use of language style, compositions and scenes on one hand and themes, features and outlines on the other. Likewise, the use of language instruments further points to her posture as an undisputed contemporary feminist poet,Sarjana Pengajian Islam |
