dc.descriptionUKM has played an integral part in training surgeons since the 1970s. The Masters of General Surgery program in UKM has trained many prominent and successful local surgeons who today have contributed immensely to healthcare locally and internationally. However, as the country progresses towards developed nation status by 2020, surgical training in Malaysia must also keep up to international standards and methods using the latest technologies and modalities available.
